Maria, with her passion and knowledge passed down through generations, will guide you in discovering the art of "gardening." For enthusiasts, we offer small workshops where you can learn to cultivate according to tradition, respecting the natural rhythms of the Sicilian land.
Barbecue
Away from the city hustle, indulge in the pleasure of an outdoor barbecue. We provide you with an authentic hand-built masonry barbecue using traditional techniques, as well as portable braziers. The perfect occasion to savor delicious Sicilian meats, including the renowned "salsiccia a ceppo" from Linguaglossa, a Slow Food presidium.
Palmento and Museum of Rural Civilization
Immerse yourself in Sicilian rural history by visiting our authentic early 20th-century palmento, where up to 25 years ago, Etna red wine was made. The structure retains its original functionality with ancient lava stone vats, the "ghianca" for grape pressing, and the large chestnut barrel. It also houses an ethno-anthropological museum with tools from rural civilization: from cobbler's forms to wicker baskets, from plows to demijohns, living testimonies of a past that continues to inspire the present.
Brazier for Cozy Evenings under the Sicilian Stars
When the sun sets behind Etna and the first stars begin to shine in the Sicilian sky, our traditional brazier becomes the heart of magical moments. Farm Tour and Vineyard Visit
Accompanied by Maria and her children, you'll discover the secrets of Etna organic farming through a guided tour among terraces and dry stone walls made of lava stone. The visit includes the new Carricante vineyard, established in 2024 with both espalier and bush training techniques, which will soon yield precious bottles of Etna Bianco DOC. A journey into the farm's biodiversity, from discovering century-old trees to the stream flowing at the property's edge, where black volcanic soil meets white "terreforti."
Mountain-bike and E-bike Rental
